Blog Tour: Shelter You by Alice Montalvo-Tribue

She's mine.

That was the first thought that came to my mind when I held my baby in my arms at seventeen. I didn't care that my parents had already promised to give her to a wealthy family. That they were forcing me to give her away.

She was mine.

I ran away from that hospital, from that family, from the only life I knew. I planned to start over with what little money I had, determined to make something of myself despite the odds.

Then Logan Tate came along.

Gorgeous and controlling, he claimed he was trying to help me, and he didn't care that I was just another teenage pregnancy story.

But I don’t trust him. I don't trust anyone. And if Logan knew the real secrets and lies I was keeping inside, he wouldn't dare try to shelter me.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is my first Alice Montalvo-Tribue novel and I believe she has gained a new fan! Shelter you is not for one for the faint hearted. This was an incredible story.

Mia, a 17 year old girl came from a very wealthy family. Only as most of the stories we read, her parents were more concerned in social status, than what makes a true family. Pregnant and scared she turns to her parents for help. Only their solution was to force her to put the child up for adoption.

With the help of a hospital nurse, Mia makes the decision that she cannot give her daughter up, she runs! Under age with a newborn in tow, Mia travels as far away as possible, settling in a small town where she hopes she can make a life for her and her daughter.

When Logan walks into her life she is petrified of him. Not trusting anyone to not tip off her parents of her whereabouts, she lies. Only, how long can she really keep it secret?  Logan immediately feels that he needs to help, taking her in, finding her a job, the all american knight in shining armor. But, can he break down her walls?

I feel in love with these characters! Learning the horrific past that Mia has faced, learning who the father of her baby is, and what he did to her.  Seeing how quickly Logan attaches himself to her daughter... Swoon! I can easily rate this one 5 stars!! This is a MUST READ!

Alice Montalvo-Tribue lives with her husband and daughter in New Jersey. She has a bachelors degree in communications and is currently working on her masters degree. She spends most of her free time reading, writing, and when the weather permits lounging out on a beach.
