March FAN Madness: How He Really Feels by Lisa Suzanne

Julianne Becker is desperately in love with her boss, Nick Matthews. She has daydreamed about him since the day she first met him a year earlier, but she is firmly stuck in the friend-zone until New Year’s Eve, when the game completely changes and she finds out how Nick really feels about her. They embark on a sexy affair that’s everything Julianne ever dreamed of... except she can’t tell anyone about it. What will happen if anyone finds out about their secret relationship? And how will her lifelong best friend, Travis Miller, react when Julianne begins a relationship with someone who isn’t him?

How He Really Feels is a novel that explores relationships and love between coworkers and friends. It contains some adult situations and is intended for mature readers.

Julianne Becker is head over heels in love. Only problem.. He is her new boss. When she first sees Nick Matthews in the conference room at her office, the instant sparks hit her light a bolt of lightening. For over a year she hid her crush about him, only confiding in her best friend Travis and 2 office girlfriends.

Until the day when Nick finally makes a move and confesses his feelings about her. Admitting that he has done everything possible to make excuses everyday as to why they needed to complete projects together, or take an office lunch. The only thing stopping him for months was the interoffice relationship clause that he has signed upon accepting his position.

Not being able to stay away from each other any longer, they began their secret relationship. Jules again confided in her best friend Trav, although he began to withdraw from her, acting strange when she professed her love for Nick…  When their relationship leaks to Nicks boss, all hell breaks loose between them, their jobs, their friendships…

I absolutely LOVE this novel. I was immediately drawn into the story line, the characters, the love for each other. Lisa Suzanne reaches the readers in a way that makes you unable to put the book down until it is finished. Love this series!!

March FAN Madness: What He Really Feels by Lisa Suzanne

18243697

He told her How He Really Feels and had his heart broken. Now Travis Miller is trying to move on from the greatest heartbreak of his life by getting out of town. But two nights before his big move to California, Travis meets a mystery woman who grabs hold of his broken heart and gives him hope that he can piece it back together. Will Travis ever figure out What He Really Feels, or will he be stuck on his first love forever? Will he find his happily ever after?

What He Really Feels contains some adult situations and is intended for mature readers.

This is book 2 in the He Feels series. If you haven't read How He Really Feels, what are you waiting for??? This might contain spoilers for book 1 so I would have to recommend that you stop here and pick it up before reading this.

Travis had his heart stomped on my Jules at the end of book 1, he decides it is time to start fresh. New town, new office, new girls. Out with his buddies, right before leaving, a group of beautiful and semi drunk girls find their way to this handsome group of men. When Trav and his mystery girl decide to take things a little further after a few hot and steamy dances, he can't deny the instant attraction towards her. She seems different. The deep feelings that he develops over one night for this woman is unbelievable to him. Yet, with him leaving town, they agree that no strings or even swapping names is the only way to do this for themselves.

Travis still refuses to speak with Jules after what she did to him, and he can't get this mystery girl out of his mind. She had gotten under his skin and he couldn't shake her, but had no way of contacting her. Falling into his new life easily, he did everything he could think of to move on from a one stand that would change his life.

When Lindsey, aka 'Gorgeous', literally bumped into him months later… he knew it was fate. Only problem.. She was dating his new co-worker.. The relationships in this novel tug at your heart strings. Jules refusing to let Travis walk away from their 20 year friendship, Travis and Lindsey's battle to fight for their new relationship..

Lisa Suzanne definitely did not let me down with this sequel. However I am still #TeamNick, Travis proved himself in this story and he did not disappoint. I can't wait to see what happens in 'Since He Really Feels'!!!

I love a good laugh…you know, the type that accidentally makes you snort. Yeah, that kind. My love of all things funny, romantic, and bad ass led to the writing of my debut novel, Pinned Up. I reside in northern Cali with my husband and three children. I'm currently working on the completion of the Pinned Up trilogy. Initially, Pinned Up was written as a stand-alone novel, but since the characters continue to harass me during the middle of the night, while I'm driving, when I'm eating, and while I'm running against my will…I decided to continue with their stories.
I definitely don't take myself too seriously. (Life is too short for that if you ask me.) And I'm well aware I’m not everyone’s cup of tea...and that’s okay! Why? Because I’d rather be someone’s shot of tequila anyway! Salud!

Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 5, 2013
Tour Organized by: As the Pages Turn
Purchase Link:

***This novel contains graphic sexual content and harsh language. It is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+.

Have you ever been so angry that hitting things felt good? Or so numb that you actually felt high? The past few years have been like that for me. Traveling between fury and indifference with no stops in between.

Some people hate me for it, while others are scared of me. But none of them can hurt me, because I don't care about anything or anyone.

Except Tatum.

I love her so much that I hate her. We used to be friends, but I found out that I couldn't trust her or anyone else.

So I hurt her. I pushed her away.

But I still need her. The sight of her centers me, and I can pool all of my anger into her. Engaging her, challenging her, bullying her...they are my food, my air, and the last part of me that feels anything human.

But she left. She went to France for a year, and came back a different girl.

Now, when I push, she pushes back

(I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)

Several months ago I came across a book called Bully and I fell in love with Jared an Tate.  There story was mesmerizing.  So, when I was given the opportunity to read Until You I jumped at the chance to read Jared's side of the story.  I really enjoyed seeing their world through his eyes.  In Bully the reader was able to get a glimpse of why Jared acted the way he did, but in Until You you fully understand.  The hurt and angst ran much deeper then I previously thought.  While I felt bad for Tate throughout the first novel, I have to say I feel worse for Jared now.

If you haven't read Bully I strongly suggest you read that novel first.  You will appreciate Until You more if you do.

Happy reading!!

Review
*I received this book as an ARC for an honest review*

Reaching Rachel is a heart gripping, non stop action story. I was immediately enthralled in the story and read the entire thing in one sitting. We originally met Rachel in Living Again, L.L Collins debut novel and we now learn what really happened in the past to make her so closed off to her friends.

Living Again is a true favorite of mine and Reaching Rachel did not let me down. Reading the pain and horror that this poor woman has had to live is absolutely gut wrenching. Will she ever get her happy ending?

We are brought into the dark past and present of Rachel's life. Keeping everything hidden from her closest friends, until the unspeakable happens. Being brought into the darkest side of her mind, kidnapping, rape, being beaten... will she be saved?

I Love this book. L.L. Collins has done it again. This is an amazing series, L.L.Collins definitely knows how to rip the emotions from the readers. Offering my fair warning now.... Grab the tissues when reading these two!!

                                                                           ***
 Review:
I'm finding it extremely difficult to review this book without giving anything away, but let me just say that I found myself crying right along with Kayley.. Every. Single. Time.  I HIGHLY recommend this book, but be sure to grab the box of tissues!!

Kayley Carson married her best friend and was about to start a family, until she received a phone call that forever changed her life. Eight month pregnant and now widowed she did not know how to live anymore.  The birth of her daughter and her amazing support team of friends and family were the only thing that keep her afloat. A year later, she feared it was happening all over again... Would she ever be able to move on?

Dr. Ben "Yummy" Nichols also had his share of life tragedies.  He had sworn off all relationships after getting his heart torn out by his former fiancé. That was until Kayley walked into the hospital... The moment he saw her, he knew he had to make her 'his'.

L.L. Collins did a fantastic job with this book. Within the first page I was completely and utterly hooked. The raw emotion between the characters throughout this entire book grips your heart and squeezes.

Although there is serious heartbreak and devastation in the beginning of the book, there is also such a connection between the two, it was hard to remember it was 'just a book'. The instant connection between Ben and Kayley was great to read, but I was more attached to the relationship between Ben and Kayley's daughter, Alexis. SWOON!

Can they survive the painful memories and insecurities of their past and move forward? Or will it be too great for them to handle?

*Synopsis*

She has a secret.

I’m complicated. Not broken or ruined or running from a past I can’t face. Just complicated.

I thought my life couldn’t get any more tangled in deceit and confusion. But I hadn’t met him. I hadn't realized how far I could fall or what I'd do to get free.

He has a secret.

I’ve never pretended to be good or deserving. I chase who I want, do what I want, act how I want.

I didn’t have time to lust after a woman I had no right to lust after. I told myself to shut up and stay hidden. But then she tried to run. I’d tasted what she could offer me and damned if I would let her go.

One secret destroys them.

*Review*
(I received this book from the author in turn for an honest review.)

For weeks, I watched Pepper Winters agonize over Destroyed.  Worried no one would like it.  Questioning the plot.  Concerned over the characters.  I watched on social media as she worried herself sick over this novel.  Let me start by saying she had nothing to worry about.  Sure, Destroyed, is different from her Twisted Together series.  The plot if different.  The characters are unique.  But isn't that what we want from the authors we love?  All too often we talk about how we read the same cookie cutter story over and over.  We are on a never ending search for something different.  Something that moves something inside of us.  Pepper Winters nailed this one.

Destroyed is the story of Hazel (Zel) and Roan (Fox).  Both are strong, stubborn, and damaged.  Both have survived tremendous pain, but can they survive each other?

I fell in love with both characters by the end of the second chapter.  I loved Hazel's strength.  All too often the leading lady is to weak or pliable.  Hazel knew what she needed to do and why she needed to do it.  I admire her for that.  Fox, damn he was sexy. Disturbing, but sexy.  I love a big strong man with a soft heart.

My favorite part of this book happened right at the halfway mark.  I am telling you it will bring you to your knees.  I was clutching my chest in agony.  In that moment, my heart was torn out, squeezed in a vice, scrambled and jammed back into my chest.  The emotional roller caster did not end there.  This book over flowed until the very end.

I strongly recommend you spend a little time with Zel and Fox.  You will not be sorry.

Happy reading!!

*Excerpt*

Raising my eyes to lock with hers, I murmured, “I want to lick you.”
Her eyes flared wide; her toned tummy tightened.
When she didn’t move, I cocked my head. “Let me taste you and I’ll gladly let you touch my back. But I’m not going anywhere until you obey me. Come here.”
She shook her head, a blush covering her cheeks. “I can’t. How would you—”
Logistics seemed simple to me. “You have to sit on my face, Zel.” I couldn’t stop the small smile and the thrill in my stomach at the thought of her presenting herself to me. She’d have to willing expose herself and hold herself in place while I pleasured her.
“Move. Now. I won’t ask again.” –ROAN

March FAN Madness: Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken

Ruin
By: Rachel Van Dyken

Synopsis:  I'm not your typical girl. I've been running away from the memories that haunt me for so long that depression has become my only comfort. I was content in the darkness...until Wes Michels offered to be my light.

I didn't know that time wasn't my ally -- that every second that ticked past was one step closer to the end of something that was beginning to mean the end of myself. He tried to warn me. He promised me all he was able to offer--each moment as it came--but it would never be enough.

Sometimes when you think it's the end, it's only the beginning. Wes thought he could save me, but in giving me everything, he ruined me. Because after one kiss, one touch, I couldn't--I wouldn't ever be the same.

And from that moment on, his heartbeat became my own

***

Review:  Well Ruin has me ruined.  I am surprised I was able to comprehend the last third of the book through the tears and sobbing.  There should be a warning on the cover 'Have Kleenex on hand.'

Ruin is the story of Kiersten and Weston.  Kierston is a college freshman scared to live.  Having tragically lost her parents she is just trying to survive each day.  Her first few days on campus are tough and uncomfortable until she walks head first into a wall of a man.

Weston has also had his share of tragedy, having lost people he loved.  In his final year of college he has been assigned as a RA in an on campus dorm.  Just trying to survive the year he has planned to change his playboy ways and focus on his priories, his health, football and his family.  What Weston never expected was to be felt up by sheepish redheaded freshman on one of the first days on campus.

Quickly, Weston and Kiersten become friends.  Weston makes it his mission to help Kiersten breakdown her walls and start living.  Teaching her to live afraid instead of being afraid to live.  What Weston doesn't tell her is he is fighting his own battle to live.  A battle of life and death.  Does love conquer all?  Can it heal all wounds?

I adored the characters.  I love Kiersten's innocence.  She trusted Weston wholeheartedly and maybe even a little naively.  Weston was sweet and kind.  He was completely down to earth despite his family's circumstance.  The connection the author was able to create, not only between the characters, but also between the characters and the reader was mesmerizing.  Two thirds in I felt like I was there holding Wes's hand.  It was also around this time I began bawling like a baby.

Ruin was one hell of an emotional roller coaster.  If you are looking for a sweet love story laced with true raw emotion I suggest you pick up a copy of Ruin today!

Happy reading!!
