Review: (I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)
Born form a jaded childhood, Hadley has made up he mind about who she is and who she wants to be. Now a college senior, with he sights on the future, she knows exactly what she wants to do with her life. Hadley, wants nothing more than to be a journalist. But not just any journalist, a war correspondent. That's right, she wants to willingly run to danger when others are running away. She want to head to the most dangerous ares of the world in order to find and report the truth.
Dedicating all of her time to her classes and her job as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, Hadley has little time to be a regular twenty-something. Determined to make sure she has a little fun, her roommate David steps in persuading her to live a little. But what happens when a little fun begin to turn into something more?
Jack is passively floating through life. He has no serious plans, but that's alright with him. His laid back approach to life balances Hadley's uptight personality. Jack is able to help Hadley relax and have some fun. But then push comes to shove can Jack stand back and allow Hadley to follow her dreams or can he convince her to stay?
I thought this was a great story. I loved the yin-yang quality of Jack and Hadley's relationship. They each made each other better. I also really enjoyed David's sub-plot. I hope he found his happy ever after -- with out Ben! The author also did a great job with the difficult subject matter toward the end. Those moments were riveting, but tastefully executed. Great job!!
Happy reading!!
