Tyler and Viv have found each other again after a three day fling three years ago. Ideally suited for each other, they try to make a relationship work. However, they soon realize Tyler was expecting a 24/7 total power exchange and Vivian will never be a 24/7 submissive. As they try to find a compromise, Vivian must deal with what a Total Power Exchange means, even if it’s only a part time power exchange, and Tyler must decide if he can live with a sometimes-Master and sometimes-boyfriend relationship.
Will they find their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
This title was published in 2010 with less than half of the current content. The story has been considerably rewritten and contains a great deal of new material for your reading enjoyment. We think it’s a far better story now, but if you read the original, you can be the judge!
I had the
honor of receiving this novel as an ARC by the author for an honest review
This book started
off with a bang right out of the gate. Vivian, a young professional woman,
enjoys spending evenings as ‘Katrina’, getting a little bit of special
attention at a local BDSM club. Carefully disguised so that no one would
recognize her, especially her college students, she enters the world of
floggers, whips, and handcuffs.
Being taken
into a private room with ‘Master James’ was sure to set her heart on fire.
Eager to please him, she finds herself easily entering her submissive mind
frame. She’s unable to control her heart for falling for him… only to have her
heart broken.
We are
taken down the road three years later, while Viv still lives her secret life in
the BDSM scene, she is more guarded of her heart, never to feel that kind of
pull again. That is until she finally meets her brothers best friend Tyler.
Tyler and Viv immediately feel the natural pull that they have towards each
other, once they realize they are each other’s Katrina and Master James, they
are convinced that fate has brought them back together for a reason.
Throughout
this book we follow the relationship of Viv and Tyler. Through their submissive
and dom relationship and trying to be together outside of a scene as well.
While this novel was extremely well written and the detail was phenomenal, it
was difficult for me to read some of the scenes. I just couldn’t get into the
mind set of wanting to get hit with a cane.. Now, while this is not
particularly ‘my thing’, it didn’t stop me from finishing front to back.
This is not
a book for the light hearted, some of the scenes made me fall in love with the
characters, others made me stop and think if I could have gone through what Viv
did and actually keep my mouth shut, to not tell Master Tyler off.. haha.. As I
mentioned, while this may not have been ‘my thing’ it is one that I will
recommend for those of you needing a little more “kink” in your reading or
maybe in real life? Candace Blevans did a fantastic job writing this
novel, the details were so completely thorough I could feel myself entering the
world of Viv, may even have a bruise or two… ;)
Enjoy!

Candace Blevins is a southern girl who loves to travel the world.
She lives with her husband of 14 years and their two daughters. When not working or driving kids all over the place she can be found reading, writing, meditating, or swimming.
Candace writes romance books about strong women who happen to be submissive, and in some cases have some pretty extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work.
