BLOG TOUR: Crossing the Line by: Kele Moon

Sysnopsis: Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too.

Before life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety.

When she left it destroyed him.

Now she's back.

Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.

Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can't risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.

Even for another taste of true love.

Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it's the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge

Review:  (I received this novel from the author for a honest review)

Having read the previous two novels in the Battered Hearts series I was already in love with Wyatt, Clay and Jules, but Crossing the Line brought my admiration to a new level.  I have to say Wyatt is my favorite of the three.  Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Clay and Jules' stories but Wyatt's was just a little more amazing.
I Crossing the Line Kele Moon brings us the story of Wyatt Conners and finally fills in the missing peices of the puzzle by telling the heartbreaking tale of the love of his life, Tabitha.  The agony that makes up their story was tough to get through.  It was hard to read their struggle.  Who would have known Wyatt had so much pain beneath that smug, loud mouth exterior.
I really enjoyed the storyline of this novel.  I lilkes watching Wyatt, Clay, Jules and Tabitha grow up before my eyes.  I think this solidified the special bond I felt this the characters.  I almost felt like a mother watching her children grow before my eyes.  If I could have offered the advice along the way.
Besides the obvious stars of the story I absolutely, without a doubt, enjoyed Nova's character.  I would really like to see him get his own happy ever after in one shape or another.  He deserves it.
If you haven't reash the previous novels in the Battered Hearts series I suggest you check them out today.  If you have and loved Clay and Jules then you are in for a treat with Wyatt.

Happy Reading!!

She let Wyatt doctor her shoulder, savoring the feel of his touch that was tender despite his large size and dangerous fists. Her nerves had settled considerably and for just that moment she focused all her energy on trying to remember everything about being with him again. Like the combined smell of Wyatt’s soap and expensive aftershave. The cool feel of the ointment on tender skin. The sound of the bandage being opened. The general hum of powerful energy that seemed to vibrate off men like Wyatt. Assured, successful, handsome, and charming, he’d always had such a strong sense of self. The path Wyatt was supposed to take in life had been crystal clear for him from a very young age. Knowing the right route to take had made him extremely self-confident and that’d forever be appealing to Tabitha.
“All better,” Wyatt announced as he closed the first-aid kit. “Unless you’d like me to kiss it to speed up the healing process.”
She laughed. “I’m sure that’s the last thing you want to do.”
“I wouldn’t be that sure.”
Tabitha’s heart did a little flip in her chest when she heard the catch in his voice that sounded like the cross between a promise and a threat. She craned her neck curiously, looking at him in surprise. “Wy—”
“I’m gonna take off and let you rest.” Wyatt made a move to leave, but Tabitha grabbed his hand on instinct and squeezed like her life depended on it. Something about that desperation must have translated because Wyatt closed his eyes as if looking for strength he didn’t have. “Tab, you should lemme go. I ain’t so sure I can be the fella you remember. I’ve been lonely for too long. That can make a man go feral after the first decade.”
Tabitha heard the warning that she was holding on to something akin to a caged tiger—one who was angry, lonely, and neglected by the very person who’d sworn to love him. The confession held terrible implications. It was something she’d never even considered, that Wyatt had been as sexually isolated as she was, with only the memories of something long lost to sustain her. She hadn’t wanted that for him, not once in all the years they’d been separated. The pain welled up between them as he stood there stoically. She squeezed his hand tighter, willing all the loss to disappear, if even for one day.
“I want you to kiss it better,” she whispered, not knowing how else to convey the need to fix what felt irrevocably broken. “Please.”

Meet the Author:

A freckle faced, redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives off pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who had infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts–They wouldn’t have it any other way.
