Cross Spell
is a cute witchy mystery series. We first met our adorable witch Ivy in Time
Spell, where she traveled back in time, stumbled upon a love triangle, wrote a
book about it, only to find out the actual events did not turn out how she had
thought. But, we won’t get into that too much, I don’t want to spoil it for
anyone if you haven’t read the series yet.
In Time
Spell, Ivy was at it again, traveling back into time, writing a fabulous story
about a young couple in love, who ran away to be together in 1945. Only this
time, the novel was so huge, it was being turned into a movie!
Ivy is
onset in New Orleans, where the novel is based, desperately trying to move on
from her own broken heart. Even catching the eye of the lead actor Evan
Carlson. Well, that’s until her ex boyfriend, also a witch, Finn shows up at
her door step…
Things on the set turn chaotic after the leading lady disappears one afternoon while on the movie set. Completely vanished. Finn, a detective, joins in the search efforts. Although, he does have an ulterior motive of winning Ivy back. Completely stuck in his charm spell, Ivy finds herself forgiving Finn for all of the pain he’s caused her in the past and agrees to work with him in solving the kidnapping. This turns out to be harder than they could ever imagine since black magic was involved!
A series of events brings these two completely full circle, Ivy finds herself being hurt all over again, being torn between two loves. Ivy has discovered that she is more important in the witch world than she ever would have thought. She is not just your ordinary witch... she is special, a Laurel, and now she needs to broaden those magic powers.
I loved this series! I found Ivy to be an adorable, strong, determined witch who is not to be messed with. I was extremely surprised to find myself sucked into the story line, the mystery, paranormal, love romance of it was amazing to watch unfold. Although the story did bounce between present time and past time, when Ivy time traveled, there was never a moment where I felt it was too much where I couldn’t follow the story line. T.A. Foster was so involved in the details of every single scene, I felt as though I was actually there with them. Great read!

T.A. Foster is a Southern girl whose heart and spirit are connected to
the beach. She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina
Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband,
two children and two canine kiddos.
Her long love affair with books started at an early age, and as soon as
