**Mature Content Warning** This is a New Adult novel recommended for ages 17+ due to language, sexual content, and mature subject matter.
Photographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.
Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.
Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.
But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her

Sierra Stratton is an up and coming local photographer from Georgia. She always trusts her gut instincts and they usually prove to be right. When she spots Evan Dorsey at a friends wedding, she can see that he is in a dark place, and can't help herself from reaching out.
Evan needs to focus on his Major League career, he doesn't have time for distractions. He joins Atlanta after their third baseman is injured, but the city holds too many memories for him. He needs to finish the season and move on. Except fate has another plan...
Sierra gently pushes her way into Evan's life, trying to help him heal any way she can. As much as Evan wants to deny her and push her way, he finds himself constantly thinking of her. Something about this girl makes him want to forget all of the pain...
When Evan begins to receive threats, he figures they are harmless fans. Until the prankster goes to far... Can Evan admit to himself that it's time to set roots? Can he finally settle down or will the pain push him away again?
This is my first Raine Thomas story and I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed how Sierra worked to break down the stubborn walls of Evans heart. I sat down with this book and read until the early hours of the morning to finish. I was hooked! Although, I wish there has been an epilogue, to show where life took these two a few years down the line, but the book at the perfect ending!
Enjoy :)
