Review:  There are two things we can never control, life and love.  Both proceed at their own accord without concern of our opinion.

Ashton has dealt with her fair share of horrible life experiences.  Moments that have stolen her innocence and robbed her of her youth.  Moving to Woodfalls was away to start anew.  A place she could experience things she could only have previously dreamed of.  During a night out with her two best friends, Ashton plans to put a check next to one of the items on her list when a gorgeous guy settles in at the bar.  The mission if she chooses to accept it, have a one night stand with a hot guy.  What Ashton never expected was how one simple notch on her belt wouldn't be so simple.

Nathan's arrival to Woodfalls isn't a coincidence.  He hasn't just stumbled upon this sleepy town by chance.  A trail of clues has lead him right to Ashton.  He was supposed to do two things, find Ashton and report her location.  Sitting at that local dive bar his first task was complete.  The rest is simple, right?  Call his employer and move on.  End of story.  Then why can't he bring himself to make that one simple phone call?

Convinced he needs to be with Ashton just once to get her out of his system, Nathan pursues Ashton.  Both agree to have a no strings attached relationship.  Ashton believes their arrangement allows her the unfamiliar experience she is craving.  Nathan needs to scratch the itch only Ashton can cure.  Neither is prepared for the direction the arrangement takes then and both are even less prepared for the truth.

The author did a wonderful job developing the plot.  She dropped subtle hints and details as the story progressed.  The characters' pasts are not immediately obvious and their future never seems certain.  I enjoyed this aspect.  I liked never fully knowing where the story was going before the author took me there.  A truly wonderful read.

Happy reading!!
