"These are real people with real problems. This is real life, and it's real f*cked up."
Turner Campbell is an asshole.
I f*cking hate him.
But I can't get enough either.
He sings like an angel and f*cks like a devil.
If I could, I'd run away and never look back because to tell you the truth, I think this man might be the death of me.

Naomi Knox is a bitch.
I can't f*cking stand her.
But I can't stop thinking about her either.
She looks like an angel and plays like a devil.
If I could, I'd f*ck her good and forget all about her, but to tell you the truth, I think this woman might be my last saving grace.

Review:  I am literally sitting, slouched back in my chair, sweat beading on my brow, struggling to breath.  Shivers are running through my body causing goosebumps to coat my skin from head to toe.  Holy cow, this book was good.  On multiple levels.  Let me first begin with the storyline and characters.
Naomi Knox is the lead guitarist for the band Amotory Riot.  She has has a traumatic past filled with heartache, despair, and the struggle to survive.  Her and her bandmates have earned the opportunity to go out on tour.  Life on the road is dirty and grimy.  Nothing but sex, drugs and rock n' roll.  It is horrible and wonderful all rolled into one and is an experience they can't pass up.  There is one catch.  The headliner of the headlining band Indecency is none of than Turner Campbell.  Turner-friggen-Campbell.  The one man who broke Naomi's heart.

"And a mistake made twice isn't really a mistake at all."

Turner is arrogant, self centered and cocky, just like any good leading rocker should be.  He is crude and rude.  Woman fall into his lap and clamor at the chance to lay in his bed.  Every. Single. One... except Naomi.  Turner is so self absorbed he doesn't remember even meeting Naomi.  Apparently that evening meant nothing to him.

"Why doesn't she worship me like everyone else?"

Having never heard the word "no", Turner is fascinated by Naomi and the resistance she has to him.  He can see in her eyes that she has secrets buried beneath the surface and is determined to find out what they are.  Seek and you shall find, but will Turner be able to handle the truth?  Will he be able to slip underneath Naomi's skin?  Will be he ever understand the feelings she evokes in him?  Is she really his saving grace?

"To start over, you have to create something new, somewhere strong and stable and sturdy or the whole thing will come crumbling down."

Now, while the story and plot were filled with angst and suspense none of this would have been possible without the A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. writing.  C.M. Stunich's wording and descriptions were out of this world.  The dialogue given to the characters and the pictures formed with colorful words made the story come to life.  I could see the characters and smell the smoke the hung in the air.  I could feel the vibrations ricocheting off the walls in the arenas as each band killed it.  There were moments when I found myself rereading sections because they were so amazingly written.

"Her eyes are like a nothing I've ever seen, a color there's no name for yet.  They match the desert, red and orange and brown, dry seemingly barren.  Behind them though, behind them there's a whole world hidden beneath the dirt, one that can spring to life with just a drip of rain."

"I want to think of this as the requiem, but somehow I imagine that it's a prelude."

I have to warn you though, this book has one hell of a cliffhanger.  Never fear though the sequel, Get Bent is live on Amazon.com and available for your reading pleasure.  Until then...

Happy reading!!
