Review: Lick By: Kylie Scott

Lick
By: Kylie Scott

Synopsis: Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas's plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll's favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.

Review: Is it possible to be in love with someone after only a few hours together?  Is it even more plausible when those few hours are completely blacked out by one too many tequila shots?

When Ev planned to spend her 21st birthday in Vegas she never expected to wake up the following morning with the world's worst hangover and a giant diamond ring on her finger.  But it was never in her wildest dreams that the man she was supposedly married to was none other than David Ferris, the country's biggest rock n' roll God!

None of this is part of the plan.  Setting out to annul their situation David and Ev are forced to spend some time together.  Slowly, hour by hour, day by day, the connection they created during those few late night hours begins to rekindle.  Screw the plan.  Plans are for chumps right?  Time for a new plan.  No sooner is the 'no plan is the right plan' plan in place do they hit a bump in the road.  Is it enough to break them for good?

I enjoyed Evelyn's no nonsense attitude.  Even though her world is set upside down she still comes out swinging.  Oh and David, yum David.  What I wouldn't give to run my fingers through his long rock n' roll hair.  He can sing me a song any day.

The author did a nice job creating characters the reader could cheer for.  To stalk like the paparazzi until the very end.  I look forward to what else this author may bring us in the future.

Happy Reading!!
