Review:

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book. It had just enough 'alpha male' and sweetness to it. I could not put it down and found myself staying up late to finish the same day!

We start off by meeting Melissa, as she reached a low point in her life. She has found herself and her best friend, Elaine, on a much needed girls-only spa retreat. Little did she know she would find herself in the arms of a stranger the first night there.

Derek Alexander is instantly drawn to Melissa, even though he knows he should stay away... After agreeing to continue to see each other for the remainder of the week, and that week only, Melissa finds herself beginning to have true feelings for him that she cannot deny. She knows she will ultimately regret agreeing to the "one-week stand".

After returning home, she is devastated. The thought and images of Derek are the only thing she can grab ahold of, as her abusive and domineering, soon to be ex-husband refuses to let her go so easily... The plot thickens as the story unfolds, but I find myself unable to give anymore without giving too much away. So, I can only tell you that this is a Must Read! Such a sweet story!!

I can definitely see a spin off of Elaine and Patrick's story and I would love to see where life brought them all next. This is one of my favorite single novel but I hope they're story is not quite done yet!
