"After battling through hell, I brought my esclave back from the brink of ruin. I sacrificed everything--my heart, my mind, my very desires to bring her back to life. And for a while, I thought it broke me, that I'd never be the same. But slowly the beast is growing bolder, and it's finally time to show Tess how beautiful the dark can be."
Q gave everything to bring Tess back. In return, he expects nothing less. Tess may have leashed and tamed him, but he's still a monster inside.
After surviving the darkness, a new dawn has begun. Twisted Together wades through black to grey, chasing the light of true love to banish the shadows forever.
Pain is a requirement, connection a necessity. But ultimately Q and Tess must face their demons, before they can embrace their future.
Review: (I received this book from the author for an honest review.)
Twisted Together is the dramatic conclusion of Pepper Winters' Monsters in the Dark trilogy and I am sad to see this series come to an end. I feel like it was only yesterday I found myself falling in love with Q and Tess and here I am saying goodbye to them. Reading this novel was bittersweet.
At this point in the trilogy we have seen Q and Tess be tested over and over. Whether it is the cruel world testing Tess' strength or Q testing how far he can drag her down the rabbit hole, all the while we have watched Tess evolve. While her transformation has been mesmerizing to this point, it was amazing to see her complete her metamorphosis in this novel. There was a moment while reading Twisted Together where my skin broke out in a rash of goosebumps and I had tears pooling in my eyes while watching Tess finally spread her dark wings and take flight. It was beautiful to watch.
On the flip side when I began reading this series I fell in love with Q. Tears of Tess was my first captive novel and Pepper opened my eyes to a whole new genre of books. Though Q was dark and mysterious, I always felt like there was more beneath the surface. Watching Q in Twisted Together was just as astounding as watching Tess. While her personality solidified Q's softened. Together they twisted together in beautiful harmony, each complimenting the other.
I am sad to see this trilogy come to an end, I will miss both Tess and Q, but I am very excited to see what Pepper comes up with next. If her next endeavors are half as good as her Monsters in the Dark the world is in for a treat.
Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves
dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero the better and she
constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.
She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby (who speaks French—hot!) who puts up
with her love affair with her book boyfriends. She loves to hear from her readers so hit her up at
