Review: (I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)

Where do I start?  I suppose the beginning sounds like a perfect spot.  From the very first page I had a feeling, perhaps it was instinct, that I would love this book.  I am happy to report that gut feeling was correct.   The author had me from the prologue and never lost me.  I was drawn in by the author's use of words and descriptions.   Each word and phrase was gracefully painted upon the canvas of each page.  Pure perfections.  I cannot think of another novel in which I highlighted more passages.  

The plot was well thought out and deceiving.  Ivy and Phoenix's relationship was unique.  Most romance books are saturated with so much sex, that it is hard to comprehend how the characters can function, but that lust-filled relationship was no where to be found in this novel.  Ivy ans Phoenix started off innocent enough and slowly built over the course of the book.  It was thrilling to watch.

I would like to congratulate the author on a stellar curve ball.  I never saw it coming. 

I am interested to see what happens next. :)

PANDORA

On his bench, I melt.

My shield shatters, and I am open to him.

I moved from Norway to the United States in 2001, and the first awesome five years I spent in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. Then I read “The Book,” aka Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which spurred my husband and me to move cross country to beautiful Savannah, Georgia.

“Why don’t you like being touched?” he asked quietly in a bold move. Jolene stopped dead in her tracks, glaring at him. “I just don’t, alright?” she hissed, her voice raised. “And it’s none of your fucking business why I act the way I do. I see what you’re trying to do, Doctor.” She spun around and stormed back toward the house, wanting to get far away from his prying, yet consoling, eyes. “What, Jolene? What am I doing? I just want to get to know you. I want to spend time with you, and I need to know why certain things set you off so that I don’t do them!” He ran along the shore, catching up to her, stopping short when he almost reached out and grabbed her arm to force her to talk to him. Feeling him approach behind her, she reeled around. The expression on her face was fierce. “You’ve been a therapist for far too long. You need to get it out of your head that you can help me.” The ocean wind whipped her hair in front of her face and her voice rose in anger. “You can’t! No one can! So just stop! Stop taking an interest in me! Review:

I absolutely LOVE Cam!!! While Heart of Light is a standalone novel, we do meet Cam in the Beautiful Mess trilogy. You don’t necessarily have to read the trilogy first, but I do highly recommend it as you will fall in love with Cam right away.

Cam, a sweet, sexy surfer man, loves unconditionally with his whole heart. I love his character!! He is a psychiatrist by day but lover by night. While he tried not to psychoanalyze his own relationships, he sometimes can’t help it and gets his heart smashed into pieces in the process.

Jolene escapes from being held captive and used as a sex slave for 10 years. She is broken and just wants her life back. Knowing she can never return home without being caught, she escapes to a little island to finally find peace. While hiding out, she is able to find a job, friends, not the possibility of love is the last thing on her list.

TK Leigh has done it again! I fell in love with her characters in the Beautiful Mess trilogy and she did not let me down with this one either!! While this story does have an underlying human trafficking plot line, it is not anything like we are used to seeing when you hear “Human Trafficking”. This is a heartfelt, tear jerking romance, with a little bit of evil thrown in the mix. Can Jolene outrun her past? Can Cam convince her to give him a chance or will he be crushed once again?

Cannot wait to see what TK Leigh does next!! Hands down 5 Stars!!!
