Blog Tour: Front & Center (The Back-Up Series #2) by A.M. Madden

Jack was a rock star on the way to fame. Leila was following her dream and joining his band as a back-up singer. An insane attraction sparked between them that they couldn’t deny. Attraction quickly led to so much more. They ignored all the warnings and fell in love.

When the couple embark on their tour, they couldn’t be more excited to travel the country hand in hand on the way to stardom. The road ahead is filled with miles and miles of possibilities. Along with their band, Devil’s Lair, they feel nothing could stop them.

An angry ex-band-mate, a pregnant ex-girlfriend, and never-ending Internet gossip all attempt to wreak havoc on their developing relationship. New love does not mix well with stress, pressure and guilt. Together they face each and every challenge, stubbornly fighting for what they have. Will their determination be enough?

*I received this book as in ARC exchange for an honest review*

I have to start off this F&C is book two of the Back-Up Series. If you have not read Back-Up yet, what are you waiting for?! This may contain spoilers off book one so if you have not read, you are warned.

Front & Center starts off right where we left off, which is something I personally love. Jack, Leila and the rest of Devil’s Lair are off on their first tour and the fans are loving them! Jack and Leila are so madly in love it’s sickening to the rest of the band, but secretly they all couldn’t be happier that these two have found each other. Devil’s Lair is on fire, climbing the charts, scheduling extra tour stops, nothing will stop them.

Jack’s ex-girlfriend, Jessa plays the perfect villain again in this book. Claiming to be pregnant with Jack’s baby, is throwing a major wrench into this young relationship. Lei is doing everything she can to keep her jealousy and anger at bay while comforting Jack of possibly being the father of this baby. Yet, something isn’t settling right for Lei, she can sense that Jessa is up to something.

Leila is petrified to announce her and Jack’s relationship, worried they fans will hate her or think she is sleeping her way into the band. Turns out though, she worried for nothing! The majority of the fans love the idea of them together! Until Jessa leaks her pregnancy that it…

This book had so many twists in the plot my heart was racing with every page. I don’t want to give too much away but you will not be disappointed! While I am an avid fan of A.M. Madden and fell completely in love with Jack and Leila in Back-Up this book completely surpassed anything I could have imagined. This is A.M.’s debut series, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next!! If F&C is any indication, Encore is going to be amazing!!!

HIGHLY recommend this book and if you have not read Back-Up yet, you need too! This is not your ordinary rocker book, the connection between Jack and Leila jump off the page, and there is A LOT of that happening because he can’t keep his hands off of her. I think I can even see a spin off happening with some of the other band members.. Maybe I can plant that idea in A.M.s mind *wink wink* This is a Must Read 5 Stars!!

Back-Up (Back-Up Series #1)

Leila Marino’s biggest dream is to become a rock star. A lucky opportunity has her auditioning with an up & coming rock band named Devil’s Lair. The band hires Leila as their back-up singer, signing her up for months in the studio and touring on the road with the sexy bunch.

Jack is the quintessential rock star…gorgeous…sexy…a walking orgasm. Jack Lair is the lead singer of Devil’s Lair and his dreams are becoming reality as his band climbs the ladder of success. He’s living the perfect life, and enjoying every minute of it. With a steady stream of sexual conquests that satisfies his raging libido, he thinks he has all he needs in life…until Leila enters it.

Jack is not prepared for the sudden pull he feels towards Leila, and struggles daily to deny his attraction is anything more. Leila finds falling for her new boss is constant torment. Both convince themselves friendship is their only option.

An intimate moment causes their willpower to collapse, and their erotic love affair to begin. Finding love was a bonus that neither Jack nor Leila anticipated. As they begin their tour together professionally and personally, life couldn’t be any better for the couple. Until a mistake from Jack’s past threatens their new relationship, and their perfect future together.

A.M. Madden's debut novel Back-up is the first in a series of three. Book two, Front & Center and book three, Encore are both scheduled for release in early 2014.

A.M. Madden is a wife, a mother, an avid reader of romance novels and now an author. In Back-up she aspired to create a fun, sexy, realistic romantic story. She wanted to create characters that the reader could relate to and feel as if they knew personally.

A self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, she loves getting lost in a good book. She uses every free moment of her time writing, while working a full time job as well as raising teenage boys.

Due to mature content, The Back-up series is for 18 or older only.

Release day! Worth the Chance by: Vi Keeland

A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance

NYT Bestselling Author Vi Keeland

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere.  Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember.  Even though I’d much rather forget.
Liv Michaels is almost there.  She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years.  Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.
Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one.  Lucky for me, I’m damn good.  But there’s one woman that isn’t interested.  Not again, anyway.
Vince ‘The Invincible’ Stone is every woman’s fantasy…strong, sexy, confident and completely in control.  Growing up surrounded by chaos, he’s learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down.  He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own…for the night anyway.  With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.
When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there’s no denying the chemistry is still there.  But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

(I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)

I love Vi Keeland novels and Worth the Chance was not exception.  Vinny was first introduced in Worth the Fight.  At that time he was just a misguided kid.   Well let me tell you Vinny is all grown up and damn is he sexy, but not with out scars.

Liv has her sights set on being a successful journalist.  When her boss presents her with an opportunity of a life time, she must decide does she forge ahead, regardless of the consequences or does she sacrifice all she has ever wanted to protect the one man who stole her heart so many years ago.

I enjoyed the dynamic of Liv and Vinny.  Both were very strong characters, but together they balanced each other.  I also liked getting a chance to catch up with Nico and Elle.  It was nice for Vinny to still have a great role model in Nico, only this time his guidance had a layer beyond fighting.

I strongly recommend getting Worth the Chance today!

Happy Reading!!

Title: Twist Me (Twist Me #1)
Author: Anna Zaires

Kidnapped. Taken to a private island. I never thought this could happen to me. I never imagined one chance meeting on the eve of my eighteenth birthday could change my life so completely. Now I belong to him. To Julian. To a man who is as ruthless as he is beautiful – a man whose touch makes me burn. A man whose tenderness I find more devastating than his cruelty. My captor is an enigma. I don’t know who he is or why he took me. There is a darkness inside him – a darkness that scares me even as it draws me in. My name is Nora Leston, and this is my story. WARNING: This is NOT a traditional romance. It contains disturbing subject matter, including themes of questionable consent and Stockholm Syndrome, as well as graphic sexual content. Twist Me_1600x2400

(I received this novel from the author for an honest review)
Reading the synopsis of this book you probably think you know what to expect.  Another kidnapping, human trafficking book, right?  I am right there with you.  When I read the blurb, I thought the same thing, but I was wrong.  Oh, was I wrong.

Twist Me is sexy, thrilling, sightly disturbing and so hot.  Nora Leston is your typical mid-western girl.  Sweet, wholesome, and innocent.  Looking forward to turning eighteen and beginning college, Nora feels like her life is full of opportunity.  But the picture perfect future she saw for herself begins to crack and crumble the night she meets Julian.

Julian is the beautiful devil she cannot ignore.  From the moment Nora sees him in the crowd he begins to consume her.  First he invades her thoughts and then her dreams.  Julian is everywhere she looks, but soon he will simply be her everything.

Taken.  Stolen.  Kidnapped.  Julian captures Nora and steals her away to a private island.  Hundreds of miles away from civilization Nora has no way to escape.  She is completely at Julian's mercy and that is how he wants it.  Nora is the prey caught in the clutches of the ultimate predator.  Julian may be the conqueror but how long will Nora simply the conquered?

Nora is not a weak character.  The is a fight within her.  A fight to be free.  A fight to go home.  A fight to belong.  It is the journey in which this fire that burns within takes is the most captivating part to watch.  To witness her evolution is beautiful.

Oh and Julian?  Damn.  The author describes him as a dark angel.  Evil wearing a beautiful mask. These descriptions are perfect.  Throughout much of the novel I wanted to hate him.  It would be natural to feel that way.  But no matter how hard I tried I couldn't.  He is mesmerizing.  I may have suffered from Stockholm Syndrome myself.  I wanted him to take me away.

Anna Zaires has a new devoted fan!  I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next!  If you loved Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters or Miss Taken by Cleo Scornavacca then you will love Twist Me.

Happy reading!!

It’s evening now. With every minute that passes, I’m starting to get more and more anxious at the thought of seeing my captor again.
The novel that I’ve been reading can no longer hold my interest. I put it down and walk in circles around the room.
I am dressed in the clothes Beth had given me earlier. It’s not what I would’ve chosen to wear, but it’s better than a bathrobe. A sexy pair of white lacy panties and a matching bra for underwear. A pretty blue sundress that buttons in the front. Everything fits me suspiciously well. Has he been stalking me for a while? Learning everything about me, including my clothing size?
The thought makes me sick.
I am trying not to think about what’s to come, but it’s impossible. I don’t know why I’m so sure he’ll come to me tonight. It’s possible he has an entire harem of women stashed away on this island, and he visits each one only once a week, like sultans used to do.
Yet somehow I know he’ll be here soon. Last night had simply whetted his appetite. I know he’s not done with me, not by a long shot.
Finally, the door opens.
He walks in like he owns the place. Which, of course, he does.
I am again struck by his masculine beauty. He could’ve been a model or a movie star, with a face like his. If there was any fairness in the world, he would’ve been short or had some other imperfection to offset that face.
But he doesn’t. His body is tall and muscular, perfectly proportioned. I remember what it feels like to have him inside me, and I feel an unwelcome jolt of arousal.
He’s again wearing jeans and a T-shirt. A grey one this time. He seems to favor simple clothing, and he’s smart to do so. His looks don’t need any enhancement.
He smiles at me. It’s his fallen angel smile—dark and seductive at the same time. “Hello, Nora.”
I don’t know what to say to him, so I blurt out the first thing that pops into my head. “How long are you going to keep me here?”
He cocks his head slightly to the side. “Here in the room? Or on the island?”
“Beth will show you around tomorrow, take you swimming, if you’d like,” he says, approaching me. “You won’t be locked in, unless you do something foolish.”
“Such as?” I ask, my heart pounding in my chest as he stops next to me and lifts his hand to stroke my hair.
“Trying to harm Beth or yourself.” His voice is soft, his gaze hypnotic as he looks down on me. The way he’s touching my hair is oddly relaxing.
I blink, trying to break his spell. “And what about on the island? How long will you keep me here?”
His hand caresses my face now, curves around my cheek. I catch myself leaning into his touch, like a cat getting petted, and I immediately stiffen.
His lips curve into a knowing smile. The bastard knows the effect he has on me. “A long time, I hope,” he says.
For some reason, I’m not surprised. He wouldn’t have bothered bringing me all the way here if he just wanted to fuck me a few times. I’m terrified, but I’m not surprised.
I gather my courage and ask the next logical question. “Why did you kidnap me?”
The smile leaves his face. He doesn’t answer, just looks at me with an inscrutable blue gaze.
I begin to shake. “Are you going to kill me?”
“No, Nora, I won’t kill you.”
His denial reassures me, although he could obviously be lying. “Are you going to sell me?” I can barely get the words out. “Like to be a prostitute or something?”
“No,” he says softly. “Never. You’re mine and mine alone.”
I feel a tiny bit calmer, but there is one more thing I have to know. “Are you going to hurt me?”
For a moment, he doesn’t answer again. Something dark briefly flashes in his eyes. “Probably,” he says quietly.
And then he leans down and kisses me, his warm lips soft and gentle on mine.
For a second, I stand there frozen, unresponsive. I believe him. I know he’s telling the truth when he says he’ll hurt me. There’s something in him that scares me—that has scared me from the very beginning.
He’s nothing like the boys I’ve gone on dates with. He’s capable of anything.
And I’m completely at his mercy.
I think about trying to fight him again. That would be the normal thing to do in my situation. The brave thing to do.
And yet I don’t do it.
I can feel the darkness inside him. There’s something wrong with him. His outer beauty hides something monstrous underneath.
I don’t want to unleash that darkness. I don’t know what will happen if I do.
So I stand still in his embrace and let him kiss me. And when he picks me up again and takes me to bed, I don’t try to resist in any way.
Instead, I close my eyes and give in to the sensations.
